2nd Bridge’N event of the season – Saturday May 18th

Saturday night May 18th is the second Official Group Bridge’n of 2013

This Saturday we will meet at the Spiral at Gold Medal Park at 10PM. We’ll hit up a few sweet locations, and roll around in NE.  We have something special planned for yall.

The ride will be cancelled if its raining – text 612-eight 75 – eight 882 for more details.

This year Bridge’n is a little different. There’s going to be games, more organization and slower speeds. We know that in the past some folks have been hesitant to join in the fun and were a little intimidated by some of our activity. We want bridge’n to be fun and open to everyone of every riding level. We’ll be keeping the miles, the speed and the trespassing down. All you have to do is bring your bike, you lights, your helmet and if you want, a bag full of your favorite beverage.

1st Bridge’n/Group ride event Sat 4/27 @ 9pm

It’s here! Nice weather!…. Well, almost here. This weekend it’s going to be super nice, they’re talking 70′s! You know what that means?

That’s right, Saturday night is the first Official Group Bridge’n of 2013!

Let’s start this bridge’n season with a bang. It’s going to be a beautiful night, and I know you are all just dying to get out there and feel the warm evening air flow through your helmet holes.

This Saturday we will meet at the Spiral at Gold Medal Park at 9PM. We’ll hit up a few sweet locations, play some night games on Nicollet Island and then end the night at The Hexagon Bar where Buildings and some other awesome bands will be playing (for free). The total miles will be under 12 for the night, so it should be pretty easy.

Let’s do this!

All you have to do is sign up for an account and use your smart phone to track your rides.  Its pretty easy.  Just make sure to turn on Strava for every new ride.  OR: For non-smartphone users, just send a weekly e-mail to shitgoosebikes@gmail.com with your totals. Just provide a little detail about the type of riding you did that week (commute, training, leisure etc) and your mile total. Just don’t send one e-mail at the end of the month saying you rode a bajilllion miles.

You will have plenty of time to log those miles on all the SG training rides in May.  We will award the monthly top female and male rider..  Prizes will be awarded the first part of June after we’ve had time to tally up the results.

The prizes for May is a 40 oz’er of malt liquor with matching coozie and a new white SG cycling cap.

This is open to everyone so enjoy.

Get on your bikes and ride.

February winners (mileage)

Alright, the totals are in and we have two winners for February. Both of these lucky riders will be taking home a Sh!tgoose Flask. I’m stoked to announce that Melissa Anders took the ladies by storm logging over 400 miles (Holy Hell!) and crushing our mens winner Benjamin Wright, coming in at just over 100 miles for February. Max will track you down and get you your prize.

We will announce the prize options shortly for March. If you want to get in on this action you have two options. Either sign up for the Sh!tgoose Strava team or email me your weekly mileage at shitgoosebikes@gmail.com. Great job yalls and let the games begin for March.

The Sh!tgoose Mystery Trip route and camping sites have been chosen and booked for 2013. This is going to be the best Mystery Trip yet. The route is amazing, better than last year and the camping is more remote and beautiful. The ride will be about 95 miles total over the entire weekend. A tad more adventurous than last year. We will only have room for 40 people this year. The ride will be fully supported again this year with SAG. If you want to go, all you need to do is email shitgoosebikes@gmail.com to reserve your spot. More details HERE

Team Sh!tgoose made an appearance this year. We rolled tough with about 8 dudes. We drank our share, rode as hard as we could and had a ton of fun. We witness from vomiting, high-fives, hugs and a few fights. It was a good year despite the sub-zero weather, snow, and hard ass route. Get ready to ride again next year kiddos.
